IPowerWeb has conveniently divided its plans into home and business sections so that visitors can find a plan more suited for them. The people who simply want to create a small online presence can choose the Ready Site plan which costs $6.95 per month and has a $10 setup fee if you sign up for the 3 month contract. The price of the plan can be reduced by nearly half and the setup fee waived if you sign up for 2 years.
The plan offers 5GB of storage space, 250GB of monthly data transfer and only has the ability to host a single domain name. An additional $10.95 per year is charged for the registration of the domain name. Customers are able to use the basic site designer to develop a website or use a number of available templates. While email services are provided additional features like blogs or forums cannot be deployed on the Ready Site plan.
If you require additional functionality from your website you can opt for either the Pro Plan or the Site & Store plan. The Pro Plan offers unlimited storage space and data transfer while the Site & Store plan offers only 2,000 GB of storage and unlimited data transfer. Both plans also include a free domain name and can host multiple domains and sub domains. The Pro Plan can only support 25 SQL databases while the Site & Store plan has the ability to support an unlimited number.
Both plans support multiple programming and scripting languages such as PHP and PERL. Additional features such as wordpress blogs, image galleries and forums can also be added to the website via the simple one click installers provided. However if you want to setup an online store then the only plan that suits your requirements is the Site & Store plan.
The Pro Plan starts at $9.95 per month with a $30 setup fee for a 3 month contract. If you choose a 2 year contract the price is dropped to $3.95 per month and the setup fee waived. The Site & Store plan starts at $16.95 per month and a $30 setup fee if you sign up for 3 months or $13.95 per month and no setup fee if you sign up for 2 years. Other contract terms such as 6 months and 1 year are also available.
All plans include Yahoo advertising credit while the Pro Plan and Site & Store plan also include Google advertising credit.
Customer Service and Reviews
IPowerWeb provides an online knowledgebase for its customer to browse if they have any questions. While the knowledge base does provide a wide variety of topics the content seems to only scratch the surface. It is a good place for people to get a general idea of the topic but would be better if it provided in dept information. A 24x7 toll free number and online chat option would also make it easy to get in touch with the company when needed.
Users are also provided with an online control panel to manage their web presence. Some testimonials are also featured which provides stellar feedback for the company. However the awards listed on the company's site are dated and one wonders why there are no recent awards displayed.
Before engaging with any company or signing any deal it is very important to evaluate the company's services and products personally. Decisions should not be based solely on reviews.
Although IPowerWeb offers a variety of to cater to all types of clients, the lack of recent awards might make people think twice before signing up.
